Following the departure of Michael Craddock, we are looking to appoint a baritone/bass-baritone, ideally starting in late spring or early summer 2025.
We’d love to work with somebody who enjoys consort music-making, and feels comfortable sharing their passion with others, particularly the next generation of young singers.
In the 2024-25 season, the group expects to give around 80 performances, record at least one album with Hyperion, and tour North America and Europe.
Audition Timeline
Stage 1: Please email a CV and short covering letter detailing your experience to date and why you would be a good fit for this role to our Administrator Hannah Pinney by Tuesday 10 December 2024. Please indicate in your letter if you are unavailable for any of the dates listed below, and we will endeavour to find another opportunity.
Stage 2: We will contact applicants by the 17 December 2024 to confirm whether you have an audition.
Stage 3: First round auditions will take place on Thursday 9 January 2025 in London.
Stage 4: Selected candidates may be invited back for a second round of auditions on Thursday 23 January 2025 in London.
Stage 5: At the final round, on the afternoon of Friday 31 January 2025, candidates will audition in front of an invited audience followed by a social with the group in London.
Stage 6: Applicants will be notified of the outcome in February 2025.
What to expect at your audition?
First round auditions will last approximately 25 minutes, during which you will rehearse a selection of pieces with us. The music chosen will be a sample of our current repertoire, and will be sent in advance so you have time to prepare.
