Last night marked the beginning of something very special for The Gesualdo Six: the first concert of our five-year residency as Associate Artists at Wigmore Hall.
We’re incredibly proud to begin this new chapter at one of the world’s great homes for chamber music. Our relationship with Wigmore Hall has grown steadily over the years, from our debut there in 2021 to our performances in recent seasons — and now we have the extraordinary opportunity to make the Hall a part of our musical life for the next five years.
Yesterday’s concert brought together some of the English Renaissance repertoire that lies at the heart of what we do, with music by Tallis, Byrd, Taverner, Weelkes, Gibbons, Mundy and others.
We’re delighted to be beginning this journey alongside the other artists in Wigmore Hall’s new Associate Artist cohort, and we can’t wait to see where the next five years take us.
