We’ve expanded our library of music performed by the group in concerts around the world. In this latest update to the G6 Editions catalogue, we’re sharing repertoire that sits especially close to our hearts.
At the centre of this new collection is Byrd’s Mass for Five Voices, a work we have grown with through Secret Byrd, our immersive, candlelit performance staged from facsimile partbooks. Joining it are two of our favourite encores: Rheinberger’s Abendlied and one of Tallis’s best-loved miniatures, O nata lux de lumine. Two masters of the Franco-Flemish Renaissance also feature, with Isaac’s Illumina faciem tuam and Obrecht’s Parce Domine.
As the Christmas season approaches, we’re also releasing two of our festive favourites. Byrd’s Advent introit Rorate caeli desuper appears alongside Cornelius’s Epiphany motet The Three Kings, familiar from our Morning Star album.
And finally, we’re delighted to include our very own Owain Park’s arrangement of the traditional Irish folk song Molly Malone.
