Choral Singing Days

Our Choral Singing Days are designed for young people aged 13-19 who have a passion for singing. Whether you are taking individual lessons, singing in choirs, performing in musical theatre or thinking about applying for a choral scholarship, these days are an opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive and inspiring setting.

Led by Owain Park and members of The Gesualdo Six, each Singing Day combines practical workshops, ensemble rehearsals and informal performance opportunities. Alongside music-making, the Gesualdo Six team also share their knowledge on life as a professional musician and offer guidance on next steps in education and careers.

“It showed me that having a music career was more accessible than I thought it would be.” – 2024 participant

What to expect

Our Choral Singing Days are open to all singers who want to take their singing further. You don’t need prior experience of high-level choral singing. Just enthusiasm, commitment and an openness to try new things.

Throughout the day, singers will:

  • Build vocal confidence and ensemble skills
  • Explore a wide range of repertoire in a supportive environment
  • Work in small groups on vocal technique, expression, and musicianship
  • Sing alongside members of The Gesualdo Six in full-ensemble rehearsals
  • Gain insight into further education, careers, and life as a professional musician
  • Share what they have achieved in an informal performance

“An amazing experience for any young singer who wants to feel the possibility and excitement of working with amazing musicians.” – 2025 participant
