“The Gesualdo Six have everything going for them – talent, youth, stamina, confidence and years of experience of singing the most difficult vocal polyphony in the repertoire.” – The Tablet, 2016

* * * We are currently raising funds to make our first recording of English renaissance polyphony, including works by Tallis, Sheppard and Byrd. For more information, please visit our Crowdfunding page here: http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/the-gesualdo-six-2017-recording-project * * *

Welcome to our website, where you can find all our concert information, contact details and links to our recordings. We hope you enjoy browsing our site, and look forward to welcoming you to our concerts.

Our first concert in the new season is on the 24th February 2017, when we make our Oxford debut giving a lunchtime concert of English renaissance polyphony in Keble College Chapel as part of the Keble Early Music Festival 2017.

In the final concert of the St John’s Smith Square’s 2015/16 Young Artist’s Series we featured four World Premieres of our favourite entries to our 2016 Composition Competition. We were delighted that the competition received such an overwhelming response (almost 200 entries!) from all over the world and especially for our 18-and-under category. It was a pleasure to work with John Rutter, Stephen Layton and Kate Johnson choosing the winners and we very much enjoyed performing these exciting new works. Congratulations again to the composers of our prize-winning entries: Joanna Ward and Phillip Cooke. Read more about the competition by clicking here.
